Jane rested back against the hospital bed and closed her eyes. She had left a note for everyone back home to let them know she would be gone for a few hours but now it was well after 10 at night and she was starting to worry about coming here. The sun would be up in a few short hours and it wasnt something she could wait out. More vampires would be here in a few hours and she knew they wouldnt be happy about her being in their domain.
She stiffened slightly when she heard foot steps. she sat up sharply and watched the door, ready to bolt as soon as someone came through.
"Corsiek?"
Jane didnt move. She knew the voice and she hated the fact he always used her last name to address her. "I'm in the room Mike." she said simply. She moved back a little on the bed to get comfortable.
"Alright." He muttered. He opened the door and entered, quickly closing it behind him. "I cant believe you really came here." He shook his head. "If Joey finds you here, you're dead. You know that?" The last sentence was more a bark then anything.
"Let him." she said with a shrug. She looked Mike over, he seemed weaker then she remembered. His once tall frame seemed smaller and less intimidating. "Do you have it?" She asked quickly.
He nodded and handed her the veil. "I cant believe I took that from Joey." He muttered as he watched her take it. "Thats the first and most likely last of the chemical you know."
Jane ignored him. "Well, he owes me..." she trailed off. She placed the veil in her pocket and started out.
"Wait... what am I going to do" Mike retorted. "You cant leave me here without something."
Jane gave him a look. "Watch me." She said coyly. She nearly fell backward when he jerked her arm.
"You're not leaving with it, Corsiek, he'll kill me."
"You should have thought of that before you took it you dumb.." Her words were cut off when he smashed her in the face with a closed fist. She fell to the floor, out cold.
"I cant..." He repeated. He started to pick her up and toss her over his shoulder like a bag of sand or something, but stopped when someone busted down the door.
